We welcome Lisa Rolls to our team as our Aquatic Course Specialist. 

Lisa has 20 years industry experience as both a national level competitive swimmer, to management level positions for Swim Schools, Lisa understands the important of aquatic safety and first aid response procedures.

Water safety is incredibly important and supervising children is huge responsibility. Learning the correct procedures for aquatic safety and first aid response saves lives which is why we now offer a select range of aquatic courses.

SISCAQU028 Assist Participants with disability during aquatic activities

This course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to identify the needs of the participant with a disability, the ability to assist them and provide support during any type of Aquatic activity. Including ( but not limited too) entries, exits, mobility and buoyancy. 

Who should do this course:  Recommended that all persons supervising swimming activities for children. An additional module required above Perform Basic Water Rescue.

Prerequisites: SISCAQU024 Teach water familiarisation, buoyancy and mobility skills and SISCAQU025 Teach water safety and survival skills. 

Duration: 5 hours

Minimum:  5 students

SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard

SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard provides the opportunity to learn a set of skills to supervise the safety of participants in aquatic recreation facilities and manage water-based rescues and emergencies.

Who should do this course: People who wish to work in an Aquatic facility, supervising the safety of the patrons and allow them to manage the water based rescue and emergencies.

Prerequisites: The physical fitness and strength to conduct various swim rescue techniques.. 

Duration: This is a practical course delivered over 2 days and requires attention to detail. It is interactive and contextualised to the facility's needs. Online pre course learning will also be provided. 

Minimum:  5 students

SISCAQU020 Perform Water Rescues

SISCAQU020 Perform Water Rescues

Provides the opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge required of someone to complete Water Rescues in a variety of swimming environments.

Who should do this course: This course applies to any worker who may need to be in a position to perform a rescue, including Pool Lifeguards, Swim Teachers, Outdoor Recreation Leaders. It is a fun interactive course where the training will be contextualised to suit the individual needs.

Prerequisites: The physical fitness and strength to conduct various swim rescue techniques.

Duration: 2-3 hours

Minimum: 5 students
